our plans are small, all under 2,000 sq ft (with most under 1,600 sq ft),
some have garages and some do not.
they are generally designed for crawl space or slab-on-grade construction,
most have structural insulated panels (sip) for the walls and roofs.
our most recent addition, theSAGE experiments with double 2x4 wall construction,
eliminating the cold-bridge of the wall studs. we offer theSAGE exclusively
in our agreement with the award-winning architectural firm of arbor south.
in fact, arbor south is building theSAGE as a demonstration house in
eugene, oregon with completion expected in summer 2009.
theSAGE is targeted for LEED platinum.
they are unique in that they are designed with energy-efficient features
such as led lighting, timer and motion switches, in-line water heating,
passive and active solar, renewable and recycled materials, dual flush toilets,
and many other features.
the specifications are mostly optional, so you can choose what is appropriate
for your conditions. we are constantly experimenting with new methods and ideas
and will pass those along as they evolve.
